New England Merchants Corp., formed in 1991 as a Massachusetts corporation, is a licensed mortgage lender and broker.

Our loan officers correspond or broker many different mortgage products to over one hundred investors across the country. These investors range from the California "labor" lenders writing and securitizing variable mortgages based on the London Interbank rate, to lenders who sell to Fannie Mae or the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation or to the FHA, to large banks and mortgage companies which invest their own money and maintain loans in their own investment portfolios.

New England Merchants has over the years placed several hundred million dollars of loans on all different types of property, ranging from modest starter homes in working class neighborhoods to large mansions.

We have obtained loans for high-income borrowers with perfect or poor credit, self-employed people with perfect or poor credit, and lower income people with perfect or poor credit.

Every New England Merchants loan originator is a highly capable and experienced mortgage professional. Some originators are fairly specialized with particular expertise in variety of mortgage products. Some tend to specialize in certain classifications of products or borrowers.

Representing as many investors as we do, and having the ability to close loans in our own name or to invest our own money in loans enables New England Merchants to obtain more favorable rates and terms from investors than are available to the average small mortgage broker.
